A new Golf Master Plan has been developed for City Park, a 1300-acre facility located only minutes from downtown New Orleans, LA, that was severely damaged during the flooding associated with Hurricane Katrina.

The proposed Golf Master Plan features two, par 72, eighteen-hole courses, a nine-hole par three course and a comprehensive practice facility. The new golf courses have been thoughtfully planned to highlight the Park's remaining, exceptional Oak trees, as well as the existing water features. Construction of the new Golf Master Plan will also include a variety of drainage improvements that will not only facilitate improved playing conditions and course availability after a typical storm event, but will also improve the overall water quality and storm water management capabilities throughout the entire Park.

Implementation of the new Golf Master Plan will be 'phased' to accommodate available funding and assure at least one course is always available for play.
