Client Course Description

Golf Club of the Everglades is located in Naples, FL. We are an 18-hole equity membership golf club that was created by golfers, for golfers. Located on 261 acres, the facilities include a championship 18 hole golf course, expansive practice facilities, and a quietly elegant clubhouse.

Designer Notes

Sculptured bunkers, rolling fairways, expansive lakes, and native grasses provide the diversity, challenge and aesthetic appeal on this South Florida course. The wind is a major factor for golfers on this open course.

We have finalized a design with new ownership to relocate several existing holes, onto available adjacent land, in order to introduce a residential development component to the project. Construction of the new holes began in February 2015.

In 2013, PulteGroup purchased the club, along with adjacent land, in order to create a high-end golf and real estate community.  In order to develop a master plan that accommodated the desired+500 housing units, we re-routed the course to relocate four existing holes and  reversed the direction of play on another hole. Renovations of all remaining holes included tree removal, lake edge restoration, the elimination/reshaping/reconstruction of all sand bunkers, modified green construction, drainage improvements, irrigation improvements and regrassing  of the entire golf course with improved turf varieties. The practice area was completely refurbished and the existing Short Game Area was rebuilt and expanded.
