Client Course Description

This private golf club is located on the exclusive island of Lle Bizard. It was the first organized golf club in North America when it was formed in 1873. The club includes two 18-hole courses and a 9-hole practice course. The Blue Course, site of the 2007 Presidents Cup, was renovated by Rees Jones in 2004 and 2005. The signature hole is #16 on the Blue Course, a 444-yard par 4 that requires a tee shot into a prevailing wind.

Designer Notes

During the past few years, the club completed the comprehensive remodeling of its “Blue Course”. The work included the rerouting of two holes, the rebuilding of all greens and several tees, as well as the reconstruction of all greenside and fairway sand bunkers. The Blue Course hosted the prestigious President’s Cup competition in 2007.
