Yunling Golf Club, the first new-build course in Asia for Rees Jones, Inc., is located in Yunnan Province in the interior of southwest China. On the outskirts of the provincial capital of Kunming, known as the "City of Eternal Spring" for its mild year-round temperatures (it has arguably the best climate for golf in all of China), Rees Jones, Inc. has been hired by a top-flight developer to create a flagship property.

The facility's first 18 will be seeded in October 2010, with a soft opening slated for summer 2011, after which the third nine will be built. The 27-hole facility will feature a mix of both open and wooded holes, panoramic views of Yangzong Lake and an elevation change of nearly 600 feet. The golf club will be designed, built and maintained to championship standards.
