Columbine Country Club
Course Type: Private
Design Role: Redesign 2020
Co-Designer(s): Greg Muirhead
Client Course Description
Columbine Country Club is a premier private club, located in Columbine Valley, just minutes away from downtown Denver. Established in 1955, Henry Hughes designed our beautiful 18- hole Championship Course. In 1967, Columbine was chosen to host the PGA Championship, where Don January beat out legends of the game Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus to win the tournament.
In addition to the Championship Course, in 1999 the Club added the links-style Par 3 course. The walking only Par 3 course allows our members to improve their short game and serves as a foundation for our nationally recognized junior golf program.
Designer Notes
Designer is working with the Club to develop a long range master plan that will improve the overall playability, challenge, diversity and agronomic conditions of the golf course.
