Client Course Description

The Preserve at Ironhorse is a premier West Palm Beach golf club and country club community located in the heart of beautiful Grassy Waters Preserve in West Palm Beach, Florida. Their goal is to provide members with an unmatched West Palm Beach FL country club experience. An 18 hole Arthur Hills designed golf course, with a stunning golf course landscape that offers variety to all kinds of golfers including novice and championship golf players. Golfer’s that play The Preserve are treated to a golf course with balance, variety, and beauty.

Designer Notes

A master plan was developed to help guide the club in the complete renovation of the golf course while also updating the golf course features to today’s standards.

Green complexes and bunkers have been redesigned and rebuilt, to give the course a stronger visual identity and improve playability, while also addressing issues with agronomy. Several holes play alongside a natural buffer between the course and the Grassy Waters Preserve, 24 square miles of wetslands that are the primary water supply for West Palm Beach and the surrounding towns. Jones and Swanson have altered the contouring and angles of greens, opened entrances and, in places, set them back further from water. The course is now a fairer test of golf and is less penal and very thought provoking.
